The Secrets of Southern Crete

We will start our tour from the visit of Thrapsano village where we will stop at a family pottery workshop and get to know the process of pottery making.

Continuing our trip we will arrive in a small traditional village where we will visit the olive mill and the winery. We will learn how the Cretan olive oil and the raki are produced and have a chance to taste both of them.

The next stop is the traditional village of Viannos. Here we will admire the architecture of the last century and get acquqinted with the Cretan way of life. We will have the opportunity to visit the unique beauty museum of Viannos and have our coffee under the huge perennial plane tree.

After that we will drive up to an altitude of 850 meters and stop at Kavoussi. We will enjoy the amazing panoramic veiw over Kavousi Canyon and see close up the vultures of Crete.

Going downhill we reach the one and only point of Crete where we can see the meeting of two canyons that lead to the Richtra waterfall which we will visit closely. The flow of waterfall is very intense during May and becomes slightly weaker from June to October.

Arriving at Skouros beach we will have time for refreshing swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters of Lybian sea.

After swimming we will stop for a delicious lunch at the beautiful local tavern.

Full of pictures and nice memoriew we will get back to the hotel having done so much in just one day.
