Jeep Safari Cretan Life & Cooking Classes
This jeep safari is the best way to discover the traditional cretan way of life and learn how to cook the traditional cretan dishes.
We will make our first stop at the shepherd’s paddock where you will have a chance to see in action the cheese making process, feed the animals and taste Cretan cheese.
Leaving the farm we will drive to the Olive oil mill where we will have a guided tour and taste the cretan olive oil.
After that we will stop for photos at the dam of Aposelemis and the sunken village of Sfendili.
Following the road we will pass through the Embasa gorge making a stop for herbs collection and photoshooting.
Then we will arrive to the traditional cretan tavern for the cooking lesson. You will learn to how to cook the traditional cretan dishes from pure ingredients and local products.
After that we will visit the pottery workshop where you will have a chance to create your own ceramics.
At the plateau of Lassithi we will stop at the traditional coffee shop and enjoy the real greek coffee chating with locals.
Then we go back to the tavern and enjoy the amazing cretan lunch cooked in wood oven.
Descending from Lassithi plateau we will make our last stop in the beautiful village of Krasi, where we stop to see the giant plane tree and the water springs.
